We often hear people suggest that these places couldn’t possibly be real they must be computer generated holograms or man made structures. Wind, water, and, more importantly, time can do some remarkable things - as evidenced by these stunning, hard-to-comprehend formations. That the area has been discovered comes as no surprise to the locals - who have long understood and appreciated the remarkable beauty of the terrain. With approximately five million visitors a year, Page, Arizona is officially on the radar of travelers the world over. As such, it is hard for us to comprehend the millions of years that it has taken to form some of the iconic features like Horseshoe Bend, Antelope Canyon, Alstrom Point, and Skylight Arch that define the Page, Arizona and Lake Powell regions. We tend to think of time in terms of a human life span - perhaps 100 years.
